Sardines?
I'm a sucker for beautiful package design. This one makes me want to fly to Galicia right now and see what the light is like in the morning.
Take the fish, but leave me the cardboard.

I'm a complete sucker for retro beauties like this, and for "days of the week" anything.

The iPhone. I don't relish the isea of switching providers, though. HTC Droid Incredible instead?

No Boundaries, week 2
Ran last night on the treadmill to avoind the heat. When I looked at our upcoming Saturday group run, I saw that we will be running in 5-minute increments, walking in between. It must be my general state of exhaustion, but that seems like a long time. Keep in mind, I've run for 2-3 mile stretches at a time (not that long ago!), run 5 and 10K's, and recently completed a half-marathon without dying.
Why the bejayzus does 5 minutes of running seem like a struggle?
Am I really aging that quickly?

What would Dave say
about the possibility of a new Internet privacy law being tossed around in Cogress?
Lots of the debate seems to revolve around "opt-in" vs. "opt-out" as it relates to advertising on the internet, collecting a user's personal information, and tracking their traffic patterns.
Opt-in rules require your consent before your information is collected, while opt-out lets the website do it until you say no.Read the story here.

Most looking forward to...
Joseph O'Connor's Ghost Light
. There is a comprehensive review here.
To me, O'Connor's writing defines what I see as the future of classic fiction. I'll be passing his books to my grandchildren, hoping that they'll be as unable to put them down as I have been; wanting them to have the same sense of the ethereal relationship between time and space that O'Connor created for me.
I hope that Ghost Light is as poetic and compelling as Star of the Sea and Redemption Falls.
